:Study Summary
This study aimed to identify the factors affecting academic achievement among students of the Higher Institute of Science and Technology – Regdalin, through the use of both quantitative and qualitative approaches. The study sample consisted of 153 students whose data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and statistical tests, in addition to semi-structured interviews conducted with 20 students to provide a deeper interpretation of the study.
The results showed that the most influential factors affecting academic achievement were the workload of academic courses and time management, as they represented the greatest challenge for students. In contrast, the findings indicated that factors such as interaction and discipline, as well as assessment and examinations, received positive evaluations from students. However, it was also found that teaching methods and academic orientation play an important role, though to a lesser degree compared to the main factors.
